Safe and Drug Free Houses
The Risen/Lazarus Safe and Drug Free Houses are designed
and built upon the proven Biblical principles of God’s word.
His word was the basis for the original 12 step programs
and the variations that have followed.
By practicing the steps, finding new friends and recreation, using self-discipline and hard work, recovery is not only possible but probable. The rules and guidelines are set up to help you prioritize your first months after getting out so you can stay stable and get started working. The house manager will help you find the courage and support you need to get readjusted for handling responsibilities and for making hundreds of new decisions that being outside takes. We only seek those truly committed to serious change.
If accepted into our houses, you can expect us to meet you in the Twin Falls County Jail. We will determine your day of release and pick you up. We will get you to our partner store for clothing and get you a box of food. We will get you signed up for food stamps. We have contacts for reduced cost medical and dental needs if the need arises. We keep track of the local jobs and can point you to someone who will possibly hire you. Most of our residents have a job with in two weeks of release. We offer 12 step groups and Bible studies right in the house. We can get you connected with appropriate men’s support groups like: AA, MA, grief and loss, co-dependency, financial planning and other local groups.
We want you to succeed. If you are in prison, be sure and apply for Correctional Department transition house funding to help you with your first months rent. Current rent charges are $300 per month.
Since we have 2 men’s houses we will try and give you your first choice in Twin Falls or Jerome but if that is full we will assign you to the other house. Both houses have good jobs available and good managers. Transportation arrangements for P&P is available from Jerome to Twin.

If you are interested in applying, fill out the application and rules agreement forms and mail them to the house that is your first choice. If it is full we may offer the second house if there is room.

Please Note: The "Dear Applicant Letter" is for informational purposes for the inmate and case manager about our services. This does not need to be sent back. Both the Housing Application and Rules Agreement forms (shown above) must be fully filled out and sent back to the house managers. The forms can be sent back as a fax, mailed, or as email PDF attachment. We will look over the application and see if we are a match and have bed space. If so, we will send you an acceptance letter and a bed date for the parole board.
